It was all go today in Science as Year 8 made their own Newton meters for a Forces topic, and then compared their accuracy to that of the professional apparatus. Josie managed to construct hers first and had a 50g difference when compared to a professional meter, Tom had a difference of only 10g! Owen and Daisy found it hard to maintain control of their springs (one of which is still hanging from the ceiling) and Kersten found that perseverance and patience was required in high doses. It was a lively, investigative lesson and in the photographs, you can see Theo using his pencil case to compare the two Newton Meters.
