4B have been learning about Roman Roads and how and why they were constructed.
We then tried to make our own using paper mounds of earth to create ditches and a camber, and tissue paper gravel and cardboard paving stones.
It would take us a very long time to recreate the Fosse Way (which ran from Exeter to Lincoln) so we scaled our models down to fit on our History shelf!
