This week we received a lot of news from pupils about their sporting achievements outside ECS. Here’s a few examples to keep you inspired over the Easter holiday.
Henrietta (Year 6) has been stacking up the medals after her recent swimming meet in Plymouth. At the last meeting, Henrietta received a gold in the 100m butterfly, bronze in the 50m backstroke and came 4th in the 200m freestyle. Just the week before, Henrietta swam as part of the ECSC relay team, gaining another two bronze medals.
Herbert (Year 6) has been working hard in the pool and on the hockey field. Most recently, Herbert played for the Isca U12s as goalkeeper, with his team coming 2nd in a local tournament, passing through to the South West Regionals. Alongside this, he swam as part of the ECSC relay team, securing a gold in the boys’ 200m medley and 200m freestyle.
Kate (Year 4) has been representing Exeter Gymnastics Club at the English Riviera Open Gymnastics Competition in Paignton. Kate won a bronze her Vault and bronze in all disciplines (Vault, Floor and Beam). An excellent result for Kate who was competing against other gymnasts from across the south west.
Gen and Rosie (Year 5) were awarded Devon Hockey medals for their recent victories at part of the Isca U10/11 team who have now progressed to the South West Regionals.
We’re always thrilled to hear about how pupils represent ECS Sports outside School hours. Keep the news coming in and stay fit and healthy over the holiday!
