Religious Studies is taught from Years 3 to 8, and the department delivers a broad and modern curriculum.

In Years 3 to 6, pupils study elements of all six world religions – Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Sikhism, Hinduism and Buddhism – as well as units of work on religious buildings, worship in the community and rites of passage.

When pupils enter Year 7, they begin the Common Entrance syllabus, which comprises the study of theology and ethics.

Pupils are given the opportunity to study the foundational texts of the Judeo-Christian tradition, develop the skills necessary to reason, argue and evaluate the claims made by religions and to consider religious and non-religious responses to moral dilemmas.
