The Nursery children had a lovely time at Dartmoor Zoo!
The weather could have been better, but it didn’t spoil their enthusiasm or the fun. The children loved looking at all the animals and enjoyed handling the snakes, ghekos, tortoises and stick insects. The peacocks were noisy; the monkeys were cheeky; the capybaras were drenched and the bears were understandably hiding.
The lions and the tigers were a definite favourite and we watched them prowl and pace the other side of the fence. I expect that there will be several different ‘wannabe animals’ playing in our Nursery jungle over the next few days, wearing costumes and masks and prowling and roaring contentedly.
Thank you to all the parent helpers who made this trip possible.
