On behalf of the Boarding Team, I wish all the boarders and their family a happy New Year.
After a well-deserved Christmas break – and a fantastic Christmas Term for our choristers – our boarders came back to the Boarding House on Tuesday evening, ready to tackle the new term with enthusiasm and motivation.
What an heartwarming feeling to open the Boarding House after a holiday and to greet children with big smiles on their faces simply because they are so happy to be back.
This week, we spent time talking about the importance of protecting each other from illnesses by washing our hands regularly with hot water and soap, by sneezing and coughing in our elbows, and by binning our tissues after each use.
It was also lovely to hear the Boarding House fill up again with the sound of many musical instruments – boarders were quickly back at work with music practice sessions every evening.
Our Star Boarders this week are our two younger boarders: Beth and Rupert (Year 4). Even though they are indeed younger than the rest of the boarders, they both put a lot of effort into getting ready on time, tidying their dorm and practicing their music every evening. It has been a very positive week for them.
Well done, both!
Wishing you all an excellent weekend,
Mr Baurance
Head of Boarding
