What a fantastic night we all had at the FECS Barn Dance last Friday night! Everyone was up dancing from the start and I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many happy guests at one of our events. The Chapter House worked out perfectly as a venue despite the awful weather, and we all enjoyed a wonderful hog roast meal in the Cathedral Refectory.
Don’t forget that the Hall House cake sale is taking place today. Children will be taken down to collect a cake with their class during the day, cakes will also be on sale at pick up.
Christmas Fayre
As the Christmas Fayre is fast approaching we will be sending home paper plates today ready for you to fill with yummy cakes and bakes to sell on the day. Please bring your cakes and bakes in either on 16th November or on the day.
As well as this you will also be receiving an envelope with two books of raffle tickets. We ask that you kindly support us by selling these tickets, and this year we are running a competition whereby the class who sells the most tickets will receive a fun breakfast treat before school one morning.
Over the half term please take the opportunity to have a sort out of any unwanted, good quality toys that can be donated for the toy stall. We would also like to request filled jam jars for our jam jar tombola, as well as items for our bottle tombola and Secrets and Surprises.
Junior School Movie Night
The Junior school (Years 3-5) movie night is set to take place on the first Friday when we return half term break, Friday 9th November 4.15pm-6.15pm. Tickets will be on sale shortly via www.pta-events.co.uk/fecs. We also need lots of parent volunteers to help us run this event, so if you’d like to help out then please approach one of the committee members or send us an email at [email protected].
Coffee Morning
Our next FECS coffee morning will be taking place on Friday 9th November at 8.30am-10.30am in Hall House. Please come along and join us for a chat, coffee and pastry after drop off.
