This week, Reception Frogs and Ladybirds donned their wellies for their weekly ‘Welly Time’ session. The children were all very enthusiastic about swapping their shoes for wellies, despite the sunny afternoon weather.
Before we went outside, we read the story ‘Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see?” by Bill Martin Jr. We talked about our senses and the information they provide about the world around us.
This week, we focused on the sense of sight, and asked the children to have a really good look around the Woodland Garden to see what they could see. They recorded their findings on large shared pieces of paper, as well as on individual clipboards.
The children really enjoyed exploring to see what they could find, and it was very interesting to see the wide variety of objects which caught their eye.
