With half term just around the corner, ECS pupils certainly deserve a well-earned break. Another busy week saw a block fixture with Mount Kelly where all teams travelled to Tavistock, apart from the Senior boys who hosted at Exeter Cricket Club. There were some very competitive matches, the most encouraging being the U11 and U10 girls who played fantastically well and scored some impressive goals.

Special mention this week to Thomas B in Year 8 and James MC in Year 7, both whom played incredibly well in their rugby fixtures. Millie C in Year 6 and Emily J in Year 8 also put in excellent performances for their hockey teams.

On Thursday 17th October the U9 pupils travelled to Plymouth College for their annual hockey and rugby festival. We managed to avoid the rain and play against an array of schools, 8 matches in total for the hockey and 5 matches for the rugby. ECS picked up some special awards for their team, Kate E being named ‘Player of the tournament’ and Grace F ‘most sporting player.’ A great afternoon of sportsmanship and excellent hockey and rugby. Well done everyone.

Wishing you all a restful half term.
