Best Book with Facts and Best Story
The Blue Peter Book Award winners were announced on World Book Day. Over the past month pupils had the opportunity to read and vote for one of the three nominated books in the ‘Best Book with Facts’ category. All three books are colourful and informative and many pupils found it a tough decision to choose a clear favourite.
On Thursday the ballot box was opened and the votes counted. The ECS winner was ‘Professor Astro Cat’s Human Body Odyssey’, with the Blue Peter Award winner, ‘The Colours of History’, a close second.
In the ‘Best Story’ category, all three books were very popular and opinions were divided on an overall winner.
‘The Boy at the Back of the Class’, by Onjali Q Raúf, won the Award.
