Mrs Reavill had the wonderful opportunity of meeting one of Picasso’s models this week.
Lydia Corbett, then known as Sylvette David and ‘the girl with the ponytail’, sat for Pablo Picasso at the age of 19 for 4 months in France in 1954. He produced 60 paintings and sculptures of her which are worth hundreds of millions of pounds.
Now, at 84, she lives in Devon and has received plaudits for her own paintings with a solo exhibition in London last year. She gets inspiration from her life and especially her happy memories of the time she spent with Picasso.
