Year 8 at the Faraday Challenge

On Thursday 28th February two teams of six Year 8 students went to Wellington School to take part in a heat of the Faraday Challenge run by the Institute of Engineering and Technology.

They were tasked with designing and building a prototype of something which could support the engineers or the deployment of the James Webb Space Telescope which is planned for launch in March 2021.  Both teams worked very hard during the day and were complimented on their ability to work together to come to decisions.

The team of Felix W, Isabella P-J, Oscar G, Olivia T and Charlie S won on the day with a well designed moisture sensor.  Well done to everyone who took part on the day.
