We are excited to announce a bespoke collaborative project with Blundell’s School: the ECS High Performance Sports Programme.
Launching throughout 2025, the ECS High Performance Sports Programme builds on our ‘Sport 4 All’ ethos, to offer unparalleled high-performance opportunities to our keenest and most gifted athletes.
Exclusive to ECS pupils in Years 5-8, the High Performance Sports Programme comprises 4 strands:
1-2-1 Fitness and Movement Coaching
(learning from our exceptional Individual Music Tuition model)
Major Sports Masterclasses:
delivered by Blundell’s Heads of Sport (open to all)
Elite Player Development:
delivered by Blundell’s Heads of Sport (by invitation)
High-Level Competition:
Saturday morning collaborative training and fixtures with Blundell’s Years 7-8 sports scholars (by invitation)
Many ECS pupils join Blundell’s in Year 9 and make a wonderful contribution to the life of the school. In recent years Choristers from ECS have helped elevate music at Blundell’s to unprecedented heights, but it is not just in music where ECS pupils have thrived. In recent years there have been Heads of School, 1st XV rugby captains and international hockey players. We are very proud of the relationship between our schools, and we continue to collaborate to support pupils in their transition at 13+. We are particularly excited about the opportunity to support the High Performance Sports Programme at ECS through our specialist coaching staff and we hope that will further enhance the opportunities for ECS pupils in years to come.
